I'm Sick and Tired- So I changed it

I’m Sick and Tired

Have you ever felt like you were sick and tired of being sick and tired?  That is how my friend Rocky felt and its been amazing to see him do a complete 180 since we became friends in 2012.  He is an inspiration to others around him and delivers a short yet very powerful message almost daily to encourage those around him.  He no longer wakes up saying, “I’m sick and tired”.  He wakes up with a new sense of purpose in life.  I loved a quote he said on a Facebook video this past week.  “I hope you are all having a wonderful day, and if you’re not, I’m sorry you made that choice.”  He has realized that happiness, joy, and health is a choice that you can make every single day.  I’ll let him share his thoughts with you below.

Like I was, I bet you are sick and tired of being sick and tired, overweight, and unhealthy. If that’s true– great! That’s what it takes to get your motor running.

In 2010, I made a choice.. I said “Enough is enough!!”

At 325 lbs, it had become difficult to do normal things.. Shower, bathe, get dressed, sleep! Really? Coupled with headaches, high blood pressure, anxiety, depression, dry skin, etc— It was more than I was going to put up with any longer!

During my first workout on a recumbent exercise bike, I said out loud, “I’m tired of being fat!”, and those words rang loud and true for years to come. Now, I weigh 210 lbs, but much more importantly.. I’M HEALTHY! Even better? I’M HAPPY!! No, this isn’t a cloud that I ride all day, every day.. I don’t win every battle, but damnit, I’M WINNING THE WAR!!

What’s this got to do with you?? I WANT YOU TO JOIN ME! I want you to live life a little more! I want you to experience the joys of running, biking, swimming outdoors– versus sitting, lying, and dying indoors! Like I tell everyone, it’s not a race! You have to come into this mission with no expectations of a quick finish! We are in it for the long haul!

Now, do us both a favor without any further hesitation– Write a list of your answers to this question. “Why do I want to lose weight and/or be healthy?” Keep this list with you.

Your answers are going to be your reasons to make this mission a success!

Once you have your answers, feel free to reach out to me when you’re ready and we’ll talk about a plan of action that will get you on the right path. No, there will not be any crash dieting or drastic changes.. It will be gradual, and YOU WILL BE SUCCESSFUL! I’m politely demanding that you not let another day, week, month, or year go by. If you’re unhealthy and unhappy.. Let’s fix it!

Sincerely,

Your coach (Rocky)

P.s. If you feel that there are others that will benefit from a personal revolution, please share this with them and ask that they join our forces!”
